Southern Tier Brewing Company Cleveland will re-open its doors to the public on June 3rd.
With nearly 20 years in the craft beer and cider businesses, we have seen a lot of challenges, but nothing like we’ve faced over the last few months. Like you, we are looking forward to reopening our doors, and feeling the buzz of excitement rushing through our taproom on a sunny Saturday afternoon.
As excited as we are to reopen, COVID-19 has reminded us that providing a SAFE environment for all of our guests and staff is ALWAYS our top priority. While this has always been our focus here at Southern Tier, this pandemic has required us to raise our demanding standards to an even higher level. Therefore, for our reopening, we implemented a multi-layered safety approach designed to meet and, in some cases, exceed what is being recommended by our state government, the CDC and other health authorities. And, we listened to you, our guests. We fielded a survey asking you what you needed to see and feel in order to feel safe when you come back to visit us. The over 7,000 responses that we received greatly influenced our reopening plan. So, thank you.

Focus on Personal Wellness
Above all else, we are taking the personal wellness of all our people – guests and staff - very seriously, ensuring that the experience you crave is the one you receive.
This historic battle has taught us to roll up our sleeves and focus on what’s important in many aspects of our lives. For us, providing a well-crafted experience that extends beyond the liquid in the glass is the most important thing we do. We are very proud of our teams and their resilience, humility and hard work in getting us prepared to re-open. Equally, we are excited and confident that their focus on providing an outstanding guest experience has never been sharper.
The Staff of Southern Tier Brewing Company
The 30+ taps at the brand new, 811 Prospect Avenue East facility, will not only serve traditional Southern Tier favorites such as 8 Days A Week and Pumking Imperial Ale, but is home to its own brewing facility, producing brand new, ‘Cleveland Brew’d’ specialty beers, barrel aged products and sours – all to the taste of the local, Cleveland consumers.
In addition to the great Southern Tier, Victory, and Sixpoint craft draft offerings, we also have a full compliment of Southern Tier Distilling Co. spirits for great cocktails, and a selection of wines to go along with soft drinks, iced tea and coffee.
We have Growlers (64 oz) and Crowlers (32oz) for sale, and can fill them or your own to go. We also have a full selection of bottled and canned beer ready for takeout, including a make-your-own mix-and-match custom 6-pack. Overpack’d and variety packs are available as well.
The kitchen serves a big and bold food menu, inspired by Southern Tier beers, developed by our Executive chef and his amazing team. From braises and sauces to brines and desserts, everything is made from scratch and incorporates our beers in the recipes.
Our food menu features a variety of hand-crafted beer-inspired food items and appetizers. If not for the great beers on tap, the food’s enough to keep you coming back for more. During Indians or Cavaliers games, we may utilize limited menus that allows for quick service of our great menu, in order to get fans to the game on time and keep waits down.
The Southern Tier Brewing Company taproom in Cleveland is a brand new, state-of-the-art brewery and taproom, located in downtown Cleveland, OH. The Prospect Avenue venue, our second satellite taproom, is a short walk from Quicken Loans Arena and Progressive Field, where we’re pouring fresh Southern Tier beers, serving a full, chef-created, beer-inspired food menu and offering a selection of Southern Tier favorites to-go (in cans, bottles and growler/crowler fills).
The street-level tasting room features a barrel-aging basement lounge and will be home to weekly events, providing beer enthusiasts and the Cleveland community access to a truly unique tasting experience where craft beer fanatics can come together and enjoy our craft.
Southern Tier has been distributed in Cleveland and throughout the state of Ohio since 2008, and is located just two hours from Southern Tier’s Lakewood, NY flagship brewery. The fandom and support from the Cleveland area has already been felt, and we’re happy to give Cleveland it’s own piece of the Southern Tier experience. The neighborhood is fun, has a lot going on, and we’re excited be part of the community.
In addition, we sell a variety of merchandise from tee shirts to key chains as well as gift cards.
The Cleveland location features a German-designed brewing system and a series of fermenters to brew the local-only beers for the pub. Some of the ‘Cleveland Brew’d’ varieties may even graduate to full production in Lakewood, and at other times, we may call on a different, local brewer for a collaboration brewing session. Sometimes that’s just plain fun.
Four of the fermenters act as serving tanks, so the beer will flow directly from the vessel to the tap tower – as fresh as it gets! Of all the taps in house, we’ll have a selection available on from our friends and partners at Victory Brewing Company and Sixpoint Brewery. So while you’re here sipping on Southern Tier 2XIPA or Nu Skool IPA, you can also grab a fresh, delicious brew from Victory and Sixpoint.
If you’re organizing a group outing, happy hour, or private event, we’ll be happy to work with you directly. Space and availability can be limited depending on the day and time you prefer, but we’re typically able to book large events on Monday through Thursday (non game days) as well as some limited availability on Friday through Sunday. For large groups, we have custom ordering available. Additionally, you can work with our event planner and chef to tailor a menu for you event. Television/displays in the private rooms are available for meetings/presentations. There are no rental fees, but a deposit may be required on large parties and/or custom orders. Email us to get started on your event!
